Success for Helene Uri's novel 'Bitches'
The film rights in Helene Uri’s 'Bitches' are sold to the film company 4 ½. The film company is looking very much forward to transfer the lively scenario of this novel into a movie.
Translation rights to the book are sold to Denmark and Sweden, and Norstedts would like to introduce Helene Uri at the Gothenburg Book Fair in 2012, when the focus is on the Nordic Literature.
Helene Uri’s writing is translated into many languages, and her previous novel 'The righteous' has received excellent reviews in Sweden and France.
'Whether Karsten is guilty or not is not essential in this novel, but to describe the process, how something first seems possible, then becomes probable and finally necessary.
This process is produced with great insight by Helene Uri, and for the reader, the answer to all questions posed about truth, reliability and the power of memory, is in the end relief as one knows that the medical research has become more reliable.'
Svenska Dagbladet
'In an intimate but at the same time neutral language, Helene Uri describes the doubt that so seriously disturbs an ordinary family. The trust that gradually disintegrates, a relationship that explodes. We leave them with a great portion of worry but also delight.'
Madame Figaro
'A small bomb (….) - a great and extra-ordinary book.'
