Winners of NORLA's Translator's Award 2010/2011

During the French book fair Salon du Livre NORLA​’​s Translator​’​s Awards were awarded by Norway​’​s ambassador to France, Mr Tarald Brautaset. The 2010 award for the translation of Norwegian Non-Fiction is awarded Loup-Ma​ë​lle Besan​ç​on, and the 2011 award for the translation of Norwegian fiction is awarded C​é​line Romand-Monnier. NORLA warmly congratulates these two eminent French translators!​​

NORLA​’​s Translator​’​s Award consists of 20 000 Norwegian kroner (NOK) plus a three weeks free stay in Oslo in a flat situated in the House of Literature (more information here).​​

The prize was awarded for the first time in May 2007, and will be awarded every second year to a translator who has made an eminent contribution for Norwegian non-fiction literature, and every second year to a translator of fiction.​​

The fiction award is granted courtesy of Kristin Brudevoll​’​s Annversary Fund.​​
