Staff at universities and institutions of higher learning abroad, where instruction is given in the Norwegian language, can apply for grants for author and lecturer visits. Visits by authors and lecturers from Norway are intended to serve as a supplement to the ordinary instruction.
Organizers of literary events in Norway, can apply for grants for literary experts visiting from abroad.
NORLA has been commissioned by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to administrate a limited annual amount to be allocated to Norwegian authors and lecturers who have been invited to festivals or conferences abroad.
