The NAA Network was launched in 2016 and consists of seven organizations that collaborate to promote art and culture from Norway abroad: Music Norway, NORLA Norwegian Literature Abroad, Norwegian Crafts, PAHN – Performing Arts Hub Norway / Senter for scenekunst Norge / Design og Arkitektur Norge (DOGA), the Norwegian Film Institute, and the Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA).

The organizations in the NAA Network all have an international mandate assigned by the authorities. They conduct long-term, targeted work to promote the export and internationalization of Norwegian art and culture, based on Norway’s overall ambition to increase exports. Each organization works in different ways, tailored to their respective sectors, but they share common goals: developing competence within and about their fields, building networks, and – perhaps most importantly – providing access to funding by administering grant schemes from the Ministry of Culture and Equality and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Main findings from the report:

- Art and culture from Norway are in demand internationally, demonstrated by increased pressure on grant schemes.

- Art and culture are important contributors to the country’s overall export performance.

- Art and culture can be significant factors in international work and diplomacy.

The consolidated annual report presents facts from the organizations’ collective efforts to contribute to the increased internationalization of art and culture from Norway and covers the years 2023 and 2024.
