Eldrid Johansen
Eldrid Johansen is a writer, singer and actor. She has a master’s degree in history of religion from the University of Oslo with a thesis on the ancient Egyptian goddess Nephtys. The book Skriv genialt, which she wrote together with Ingrid dos Santos and Steffen R. M Sørum, was nominated for the Brage prize and received the Ministry of Culture’s award for best non-fiction book for children and young people in 2016. In 2017, Faraos forbannelse was nominated for the bookstore chain ARK’s children’s book award. Johansen started skating in her mid-forties and became Norwegian champion in VERT skateboarding in 2019. In 2020, she took silver in the VERT NM and bronze in the NM bowl. In 2021, she won bronze in the VERT-NM. To motivate more girls to skate, she created the organization and website Girlskate.no together with Steffen Sørum and Ingrid dos Santos.
Eldrid Johansen will be holding a mini concert at the book fair, and she will also be speaking about girls rights and the joy of skating.
Eldrid Johansen participates in the Guest of Honor program under the auspices of the Norwegian Institute for Children’s Books (NBI) – NORLA’s partner in the Guest of Honor project.
