Alice Lima de Faria

Alice Lima de Faria is an author, illustrator, scenographer and associate professor of visual and digital literature. She works as a teacher and supervisor at the Master’s programme in Writing and Dissemination at the Norwegian Institute for Children’s Books, and holds a Master of Fine Art from the School of Design and Art at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. As a scenographer she has worked with theatre, TV and feature films. Her book illustrations have been awarded gold in the Visual Competition and in the Most Beautiful Books of the Year, and her picture books, also awarded, have been translated into a number of languages in Europe. Lima de Faria has also written scripts for Swedish children’s TV and radio and has experience in holding lectures and courses on visual storytelling at schools and colleges around Norway and Sweden.

At the book fair, Lima de Faria will be speaking about visual communication in Egypt and Norway. She will also be holding a drawing workshop for children.
