Terje Tvedt
Terje Tvedt is a Dr. philos and historian, as well as professor of geography and political science. He has written several books on the importance of water, such as his insightful title Nilen (2012), which is now available in Arabic through the publishing house Al Arabi. Tvedt is also the series editor for the six-volume work A History of Water to which scientists from over 80 countries have contributed. He has made several documentaries, including the award-winning TV series A Journey into the History of Water and A Journey into the Future of Water which has been shown in about 150 countries.
Terje Tvedt will be speaking about his book Nilen at the book fair, and he will also be meeting Mustafa Ebeid for a conversation on how water and rivers have formed societies in all parts of the world throughout history.
