Fellowship program to Lillehammer 23 – 26 May 2023

NORLA invites foreign publishers, editors, sub-agents and scouts of Children’s and Young Adults literature to apply for our fellowship program at the Norwegian Festival of Literature in Lillehammer, 23 – 26 May 2023.

This year’s selected fellows will take part in the popular seminar where you will be introduced to outstanding children’s and young adults authors and illustrators from Norway, get an introduction to Norwegian children’s literature and book industry. You are also invited to a kick-off for Norway as Guest of Honour at Bologna Book Fair in 2026.

On the second day, you will have meetings with literary agents in the Rights Centre at the hotel. The Rights Centre is a collaboration with the Norwegian Festival of Literature in Lillehammer.

This year, participants of all languages are welcome to apply, as long as your area of interest is Children’s and Young Adults literature.

The fellowship covers three nights at Scandic Lillehammer Hotel in Lillehammer (23-26 May), the train ticket to/from Oslo Airport Gardermoen – Lillehammer, meals and beverage during the program, participation at the seminar, as well as a festival ticket.
Plane tickets must be covered by each fellow.

The fellowship is partly financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
