Four projects receive grants for export and market initiatives abroad
This autumn, NORLA launched a new grants scheme that will help strengthen export, demand, and market development for Norwegian books and authors abroad. The grant scheme aims to stimulate good market ideas and initiatives towards titles with specific export potential, as well as initiating new and strengthening existing collaborative projects with international partners.
Four export and market initiatives have been selected this time round:
Gyldendal Agency: “Export-promoting initiatives for translation into English for Johan Harstad”
Gyldendal Agency: “Export-promoting initiatives for translation into German for Gunnhild Øyehaug”
Magikon: “CCBF / BCBF / Artists Residency and Exhibitions – Mari Kanstad Johnsen, Bjørn Rune Lie, Kristin Roskifte – exhibition and catalog at the Bologna Book Fair in 2020”
Northern Stories: “Promotion and launch of Agnes Ravatn in Europe”
The scheme is financed by NORLA with funds from the government’s investment in the cultural and creative industries, and will reinforce actors in the value chain working with the marketing and selling of Norwegian art and culture internationally.
