Marit Borkenhagen is the new Chair of the Board at NORLA
We are very pleased to welcome Marit Borkenhagen as the new Chair of the Board at NORLA. The Director of the Norwegian Festival of Literature – Sigrid Undset Days in Lillehammer – succeeds Arne Vestbø, who has held the position for four years.

About her new role, Marit Borkenhagen says:

Marit Borkenhagen holds a degree in literature from the University of Oslo and has a strong background as a literary critic, editor, and head of communications. Since 2011, she has served as the Managing Director of the Norwegian Festival of Literature: Sigrid Undset Days in Lillehammer, one of the largest literary festivals in the Nordic region. Borkenhagen is deeply engaged in the promotion of literature in a broad sense and has extensive experience in strategic development and cross-sectoral collaboration in the cultural field. She heads the steering group for Leseløft Lillehammer and is a board member of WEXFO, Anno Museum, and the Sigrid Undset Society. We look forward to working with her as we continue to develop NORLA’s efforts to promote Norwegian literature internationally.
