Tanja Feodoritova is NORLA’s new Administration Officer. She will be working on organizational tasks, accounting administration, and managing our grant schemes, with a particular focus on the translation of Norwegian literature. Tanja is a trained economist and previously worked as an advisor at PAHN, Performing Arts Hub Norway (Danse- og Teatersentrum). She also has 17 years’ experience handling administrative tasks in the cultural and literary fields at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Moscow.

Norway will be Guest of Honour at the Leipzig Book Fair in 2025 and also at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2026. NORLA has appointed Ellen Hogsnes as the Project Manager for these initiatives.
Ellen brings over 20 years of experience in the Norwegian book trade, with a primary focus on PR, sales, and marketing across various genres. She has served as Head of Marketing at Forlaget Oktober and as Communications and Marketing Director for children’s and YA books at Cappelen Damm, and she has also held various roles at Gyldendal Norsk Forlag.

Director of NORLA, Margit Walsø, welcomes the two new colleagues on board with the following words:

“It is crucial that grant schemes for the translation of Norwegian literature are both accurate and relevant, and also well-managed. With Tanja as our Administration Officer for finance, operations, and management, we will enhance our professionalism in this field. Her experience and knowledge of NORLA from an international perspective are exceptional.”

“With Ellen’s extensive experience in the Norwegian book trade and her specialized expertise in promoting Norwegian books and authors, we are strengthening our efforts for the Guest of Honour initiatives at two major book fairs over the next couple of years. We are delighted that Ellen will now complement NORLA’s team, working to bring the best of Norwegian literature to the world.”
