The Norwegian Guest of Honour Spring is Underway

Today, a press conference for German media was held at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Berlin. Here, the German press got an exclusive preview of the Norwegian Guest of Honour program for Leipziger Buchmesse, which features nearly 50 authors from Norway participating in approximately 80 events – under the motto “Traum in Frühling” (Dream of Spring).

It was also announced that Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit will officially open the Norwegian Guest of Honour program and the Norwegian stand in Leipzig on March 27, 2025. The Crown Princess will be accompanied by Minister of Culture and Equality, Lubna Jaffery.

Today, we are also launching our German-language website: gastland2025.de

This site provides information about all the authors and books from Norway involved in the Guest of Honour experience in Leipzig. The full program of events will be published there soon.

We also invite you to follow our German Facebook-profile for literary updates and news.

Stay tuned and get ready for an exciting literary adventure!
