Pernille Tufte Radeid and Jannicke Hansen - Selected Title Authors
We are happy to present our selected title author Pernille Tufte Radeid. She has written Unsolved Mysteries from Around the World (original title: Uløste mysterier fra hele verden), which is illustrated by Jannicke Hansen. The book is one of NORLA’s Selected Titles of the autumn 2024.
What inspired you to write this book?
I have always been drawn to the dark, scary and mysterious, all elements that are cornerstones of the horror and crime genres. As a child, it was hard to find books on these topics that were written for young people, so I would have loved to have read a book like this back then. I was probably motivated largely by a “thirst for blood,” for scary mysteries and the joy of sharing good stories, and also because children who are interested in reading crime and horror should feel that there are books for “people like them”.
Who is this book for?
This book is for anyone who is interested in the dark, the mysterious and everything that others might consider a slightly unusual thing to be interested in. When I was a child I didn’t dare tell anyone that I found ghost stories and true crime exciting, but times have changed and it’s no longer that unusual. This book is for all detectives, young and old, who also like to immerse themselves in scary horror stories!
