A unique seminar called ViceVersa will take place in Berlin at the end of January, where a group of translators working from Norwegian to German will meet with a group working from German to Norwegian in a whole week of in-depth translation work!
The seminar is arranged by translators Ebba Drolshagen and Hinrich Schmidt-Henkel, both well known in NORLA-circles, and Elisabeth Beanca Halvorsen, who translates from German to Norwegian.
Oliver Møystad from NORLA, who also translates from German, will be present at the seminar.

Last year, Norway was the guest country at the Leipzig Book Fair. The appearance was — both in terms of numbers and in the overwhelming response — a great success. This year as well, NORLA is once again presenting contemporary and classic literature from Norway at Germany’s most important public book fair. Norwegian children’s and young adult literature is rich in both expression and genres and addresses a wide range of themes that engage readers of all ages. The Guest of Honour programme offers a unique opportunity to showcase this breadth and bring our stories to the world.
