24–26 November NORLA will hold a seminar for German language translators at the Hamburg House of Literature. The seminar will take place immediately preceding Nordische Literaturtage, where a number of Norwegian authors will be represented.
The translators will meet authors Alfred Fidjestøl, Birger Emanuelsen and Tiril Broch Aakre, and will take part in workshops, producing sample translations of work by the latter two writers. The seminar is fully subscribed, with a total of 40 translators registered to attend.

The Writers’ Guild of Norway (in Norwegian: Dramatikerforbundet) may award grants for the translation of Norwegian dramatic works to other languages. The primary purpose of the grant scheme is to contribute to the presentation/production of Norwegian drama abroad.
This year’s Gothenburg Book Fair takes place on September 25–29, with drama as one of its main focuses. The Norwegian Centre for New Playwriting – NCNP (Dramatikkens hus) will be participating, hosting an exciting program of Norwegian events.
