Every year, NORLA contributes to around 30 author and lecturer visits to foreign universities which teach Norwegian. No other country has as many centres of higher education, teaching Norwegian, as Germany. This June in Kiel, all of Germany’s Norwegian lecturers will meet for a large conference. NORLA will be participating in order to inform those present about our commitments in Germany over the next two of years.

The Writers’ Guild of Norway (in Norwegian: Dramatikerforbundet) may award grants for the translation of Norwegian dramatic works to other languages. The primary purpose of the grant scheme is to contribute to the presentation/production of Norwegian drama abroad.
This year’s Gothenburg Book Fair takes place on September 25–29, with drama as one of its main focuses. The Norwegian Centre for New Playwriting – NCNP (Dramatikkens hus) will be participating, hosting an exciting program of Norwegian events.
