Graphic novel seminar
On 27 and 28 August, NORLA will hold its first physical seminar after the pandemic!
We have invited six translators of graphic novels to Oslo. They will get an introduction to the Norwegian graphic novel/comic book industry and will also dive into the special challenges the medium offers for translators.
The participants represent five different languages; Italian, German, French, Dutch and Russian. The seminar is organized in collaboration with Serieteket / Oslo Comics Expo (OCX).
Unfortunately, the OCX is postponed, but we have still managed to put together an exciting program for the translators replacing the planned festival events.

In collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in London, NORLA is hosting a special industry event highlighting contemporary Norwegian children’s and young adult literature on November 5.
The event will take place at the Norwegian Ambassador’s Residence.
