Easter Holidays in NORLA
Our office is closed for the Easter holidays as of Monday, April 1. We will be back on Tuesday, April 7.
The Norwegian Embassy in London and NORLA invite translators from Norwegian to English to a lunch seminar at the Ambassador’s residence on 24 November. Publisher Karen Sullivan, Orenda Books, will moderate a conversation with authors Helga Flatland and Ingrid Christophersen. In addition, the translators will meet the authors Bjørn Vatne, Endre Ruset, Jon Ståle Ritland and Silje Ree. A number of journalists and publishers have also been invited.

We are very pleased that Norway will be the Guest of Honour at the world’s largest children’s and young adult book fair, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, in 2026. Norwegian children’s and young adult literature is rich in both expression and genres and addresses a wide range of themes that engage readers of all ages. The Guest of Honour programme offers a unique opportunity to showcase this breadth and bring our stories to the world.
NORLA wishes to contribute to the recruitment of more translators of Norwegian literature. We invite interested candidates to apply for a seminar for new translators, to be held in Oslo from 22–25 April 2026.
