NORLA at the Se og les Conference

Se og les is a children’s and young adult literature conference and professional meeting place focusing on reading, literary mediation, and current issues related to how children and young people engage with literature.

Each conference has a main theme. The theme for the 2026 edition is POWER – resilience and driving force, focusing on how literature and literary mediation can provide strength, resilience, and inspiration for children, young people, and professionals.

Ellen Hogsnes and Andrine Pollen will be participating. Andrine Pollen will lead a conversation with the German translator Meike Blatzheim about language and translation and the differences between art and artificial intelligence.

NORLA at the Jaipur Literary Festival and the Delhi World Book Fair

NORLA is once again taking part in the Jaipur Literature Festival, “the world’s grandest literary show,” which takes place from 15 to 19 January.
It is said to be the world’s largest free literary festival, with an overwhelming number of authors, participants, and visitors from India and all over the world. From Norway, Anne Beate Hovind from the Future Library and Ivo de Figueiredo are participating. He will also go on to the literature festival in Kerala.

NORLA to meet Nordic colleagues in Helsinki

Representatives from NORLA’s staff will be attending a seminar with our Nordic colleagues – members of the NordLit network – January 21-23.
The employees at the Nordic literary offices meet annually, and this year the meeting will take place in Helsinki, Finland.

We look forward to exchanging experiences and future plans with our colleagues!

The Nordic literary offices all administer The Nordic Council of Ministers’ funding scheme for the translation of literature and drama from one Nordic language to another.

The London Book Fair (LBF) is one of the largest and most important international trade fairs for the book and publishing industry, where the entire global publishing and media community comes together to make deals, network, and explore future content and trends.
