NORLA has the pleasure of inviting foreign publishers and editors of non-ficiton literature to apply for our fellowship program, which this year will take place in Oslo from June 16 – 19.

The fellowship will focus on Norwegian non-fiction literature. On the program will be visits to Norwegian publishing houses, presentations by Norwegian authors, meetings with literary agents, as well as an extensive social program in Oslo.
This year, participants of all languages are welcome to apply if your area of interest is non-fiction literature.
The fellowship covers accommodation for three nights in Oslo (June 16-19).
Travel costs must be covered by each fellow.

We are very pleased that Norway will be the Guest of Honour at the world’s largest children’s and young adult book fair, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, in 2026. Norwegian children’s and young adult literature is rich in both expression and genres and addresses a wide range of themes that engage readers of all ages. The Guest of Honour programme offers a unique opportunity to showcase this breadth and bring our stories to the world.
NORLA wishes to contribute to the recruitment of more translators of Norwegian literature. We invite interested candidates to apply for a seminar for new translators, to be held in Oslo from 22–25 April 2026.
