Emmas dilemma

This is a book for young people, written as a diary.

Emma is 14 years old, and is trying to navigate between grief, having a crush, and girl drama. She has a friend who lies and cheats, and she is uncertain about what she wants out of life. She is greaving for her little sister who died suddenly at the age of 4. How can God or the universe let something like that happen – and why? Why?

Hanne Sofie Suongir (b. 1990) published her first book in 2020. She has written three children’s books. Her first book for young people, Emma Dilemma, was published in 2023.

The book is illustrated by Nina Marie Andersen (b. 1998), an artist and illustrator. She earned a batchelor’s degree in aesthetic subjects at USN, the University of South-Eastern Norway, and debuted as a book illustrator in 2019.
