Emelie want to make a shop. Her little brother Max wants to join in too. Daddy helps them to set things up, but the children have to keep the shop running themselves. Sales go badly; there are no customers! At first Emilie is disappointed, but then an old lady pops by – perhaps she’ll buy something?

Emilie Sells A Boy is the first in a new picture book series for children aged 3-6 years, writted by Bjørn Arild Ersland and illustrated by Lillian Brøgger. So far there are three books planned in the series, with the second due to be released in the spring of 2012.

Lillian Brøgger (1950) is a highly regarded Danish illustrator, who has specialised in picture books. Between 1967 and 1972, she trained at the Art & Crafts Colleague in Copenhagen. Brøgger has been awarded several prizes for her work.
