My Beating Heart

Mitt bankande hjarte

My Beating Heart deals with life at its finest and also its most awful. 14-year-old Amanda is in love for the first time when a dangerous illness suddenly threatens to rob her of everything: love, hope of being loved, life itself. My Beating Heart is a love story. What is it like for a young girl in love to be waiting for a new heart?

My Beating Heart is both a description of illness and an extremely well told love story. (…) It is realistic, sad and romantic at the same time.”

Litteraturavisen Bokstaver

“Walgermo creates a dramatic story filled with hope and doubt – the sometimes optimistic alternating with increasingly depressive periods. (…) That reader hardly exists who is unaffected (…) My Beating Heart has an intense nerve – written with empathy and insight.”
