Iris - Alone

Iris eneboeren

It is not easy being 13-year old Iris. Her parents have not spoken to each other since they divorced four years ago. They only communicate by SMS texts, which means that misunderstandings are bound to happen, and they do, three weeks before Christmas. Iris comes home to her father’s house and it is empty. Both her parents have gone abroad with work and no one realises that Iris is home alone. And she has no intention of telling anyone either – because it is embarrassing to have parents who do not talk. She does not even want to tell her best friend, Camilla.

Over the course of a few days, Iris’ life becomes more exciting, scary and serious than she could ever have imagined. Meanwhile a drama is unfolding elsewhere in Europe. A boy of the same age is fighting another battle. A battle of life and death.

An exciting and dramatic book about irresponsible parents, fragile friendship and new friends.

EGO Life. For ages 11–14 years.
