Publishers and agencies:

The largest publishing houses in Norway are Cappelen Damm, Gyldendal, Vigmostad & Bjørke and Aschehoug. Other key publishing houses in the Norwegian book industry are Oktober, Pax, Universitetsforlaget, Kagge and Samlaget.

In Norway one also finds a rich abundance of small presses and growth in the number of newly established publishers. In 2016 all of 7,682 new titles and editions were published by Norwegian publishers that are members of the Norwegian Publishers Association.
