Support your local bookseller!
At NORLA we are happy that so many realize how very important it is to support local booksellers during the corona pandemic. We greatly appreciate the various ongoing initiatives and would therefore like to share them – for inspiration:
In Spain, the Royal Norwegian Embassy and the publisher Nórdica Libros have collaborated to produce some very nice posters and tote bags which are being distributed to customers who buy Norwegian books. Also, the Berlin-based bookstore Pankebuch, which specialises in books from the Nordic countries, has been inspired by an idea from the Norwegian bookstore Per Magnussen in Oslo: Customers of both shops can now order books gift-wrapped for Christmas – and collect them outdoors, so as to minimise the risk of infection.
We at NORLA are pleased to be continuing our cooperation with German booksellers, and are offering them beautiful posters – illustrated by Kat Menschik and featuring Olav H. Hauge’s poem It Is That Dream. This is an updated edition of last year’s hugely popular Guest of Honour poster which quickly ran out when Norway was Guest of Honour at Frankfurter Buchmesse.
