Sample translations for translators
Translators abroad and in Norway can apply to NORLA for subsidies for sample translations from Norwegian books of interest.
It is possible to apply for funding for sample translations of fiction and non-fiction for children and adults.
The translation must be directly from Norwegian.
Translators must document that the assignment has been cleared with the rightsholder and also enclose a CV.
NORLA’s old online application is no longer in use. As of January 30, NORLA will be using a new application platform: Norwegian Arts Abroad Application Portal for submitting and managing applications, payment requests and reports. The platform has been developed in e-Apply by Solea for the entire Norwegian Arts Abroad network*, of which NORLA is a part. Login is required.
Applications are processed in monthly meetings, year-round.

In the event the sample translation should be cancelled, NORLA is to be notified.
