NORLA has been commissioned by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to administrate a limited annual amount to be allocated to Norwegian authors and lecturers who have been invited to festivals or conferences abroad.
Project support for participation in the literature program for Norway as Guest of Honour at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2019
Next year, Norway is Guest of Honour at Frankfurter Buchmesse with its Guest of Honour status running throughout 2019. Being Guest of Honour involves a comprehensive literature program and also a cultural framework program. The literature program will make the project visible throughout Germany during 2019, through activities and readings, in literature houses, book festivals, bookstores, etc.
NORLA’s project support applies to professional Norwegian writers, lecturers or others wishing to contribute to the literature program. We are already in dialogue with Norwegian and German publishers, but would like to reach other participants that we have not yet had contact with. A prerequisite is that the project applied for must be tied with a German partner, and must take place in Germany in 2019.
