Norway is Guest of Honour at Frankfurter Buchmesse!

Finally, the book fair is here! We look immensely forward to let participants from all over the world experience the best of literature and culture from Norway!
The Norwegian Guest of Honour project is Norway’s largest cultural export project ever.

As usual, NORLA will be present at the Norwegian collective stand, 5.0 A53, where we – in meetings – will present our selected titles of the autumn. Please contact us should you wish to book a meeting.

*Authors Erika Fatland and Karl Ove Knausgård will be Norway’s literary speakers at the Opening Ceremony of the Frankfurter Buchmesse.

*Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit will arrive in Frankfurt by a literary train, accompanied by Norwegian authors. The literary train is made in collaboration with Deutsche Bahn.

Wednesday, October 16, we will host a morning mingle for translators of Norwegian literature, at the Guest of Honour Pavilion (Forum, Level 1).

Wednesday, October 16, we will announce the winner of NORLA’s Translator’s Award 2019.
