In collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in London, NORLA is hosting a special industry event highlighting contemporary Norwegian children’s and young adult literature on November 5.
The event will take place at the Norwegian Ambassador’s Residence.
Firstly, English language translators will meet two acclaimed Norwegian authors and take part in a text workshop, led by esteemed translators Kari Dickson and Paul Russell Garrett.
The workshop will then be followed by an event for journalists, translators, editors, publishers and representatives from the British publishing industry, as well as Norwegian literary agents.
The program will include presentations by two Norwegian authors, an industry panel discussion on Norwegian children’s literature in the UK market, plus networking and speed-dating/mingling opportunities for publishing professionals.

NORLA is responsible for nominating candidates and is now requesting suggestions for eligible candidates for the 2027 nomination process.
