Subsidies for anthologies and journals

NORLA can award subsidies for the translation of Norwegian literature for publication in journals and anthologies, etc. or other projects falling outside of the criteria for ordinary translation subsidies.

NORLA’s previous application portal is no longer in use. As of January 30, 2026, our new application platform is in operation: the Norwegian Arts Abroad application portal, which we hope will be user-friendly for both applicants and ourselves. The platform has been developed using e-Apply by Solea for the entire Norwegian Arts Abroad network*, of which NORLA is a part.

Processing of applications:

The grant is paid in full to the applicant in Norwegian kroner (NOK).

The decision about the grant is made by NORLA’s expert committee, whose members are Andrine Pollen, Oliver Møystad and Tanja Feodoritova. When necessary, the expert committee can obtain external expertise.
