The Woman Behind the Nobel Peace Prize. The Story of Bertha von Suttner and Alfred Nobel

Kvinnen bak fredsprisen. Historien om Bertha von Suttner og Nobel

Bertha von Suttner was a leading figure in the peace movement of the 1800s, while Alfred Nobel earned a fortune through his invention of dynamite. As a result of their meeting and long friendship, Nobel included the provisions for the peace prize in his will.

Anne Synnøve Simensen has written an exciting, gripping and informative book that sheds new light on the Peace Prize. A book in which the woman behind the award finally gets the recognition she deserves.
