Daggi is a boy who has had a number of foster homes in his life. He is simply unlovable. However, we develop a deeper understanding of the complexity of his life and feelings. He starts out on a new life with a new family, and for the first time ever begins to feel that life might be OK. But memories of his brother, Dennis haunt him. Daggi’s past experiences both disturb and form his new life.

Once again, Harald Rosenløw Eeg spellbinds the reader with his language in this incredibly engaging story about the vulnerability of a love-starved boy, Daggi. This is a story that unfolds with all the excitement of a thriller.

Dag Vidar gets sent to a new family, in a new place. He gets new trainers, a new cat and a girlfriend. He gets a digital camera so he can film the beginning of his new life. In fact, the future looks bright. But the further Dag Vidar comes in the film of his new life, the more frightened he becomes that someone will reveal what happened before: the reason he had to move to a foster home. Doubt never did the accused any favours, and Daggi begins to doubt all the good things round him, becoming his own worst enemy in his fear that he might reveal his past.

« Harald Rosenløw Eeg is a rough diamond amongst Norwegian writers for young adults …What makes Harald Rosenløw Eeg so special, is his unique intimacy with the people he describes. Eeg’s central characters are not your run-of-the-mill youngsters, they often define themselves as belonging outside the so-called normal group, either of their own free will or because external circumstances have lead them there. All the same they become universal, they could be you or me, standing there with their vulnerability clear for all to see. » ( NRK – Norwegian Broadcasting Company)
