Leonardo Pinto Silva has translated a range of books, both fiction and non-fiction. He is very well oriented about Norwegian literature and has a good sense of what books might do well in the Brazilian market. His interest for and knowledge about the Norwegian language and culture, started when he was an exchange student at Karmøy in 1988-89. Since then he has studied Norwegian as foreign language at University of Oslo and translation in Brazil, in addition to an MBA in Business Administration. In June 2023, he was awarded NORLA’s Translator’s Prize for 2022.
